Wow, thank you netflix for showing me the color of failure. After stealing so much from the thing and carrie and so many alien invasion premise movies i think that a moment of silence should be observed for nicholas cage's career. It started well and then by the time the wife cuts her fingers it veers off into the same predictable plot. One point for shattering the "black dude dies first in horror flick" stereotype. How does one do lord of war or leaving las vegas and then this? It is out there alright, but the color is not purplish gamma radiation type, but brown and as he repeated in the movie, smelly.
