I just listened to the audio version of this book, and although written in 2020, Catherine Belton could be penning the current dynamics of Putin's current war with Ukraine: all the same tactics, brutality, deceptions and motives. I wish I had the hard copy at my fingertips but get one next. Meanwhile I will search the Internet for images of the cast of characters who surround Putin, for I want to stare into their eyes and condemn their souls.
