Great action movie, slick and fast paced. Great acting from all concerned. I am unsure as to why people give a bad review and state "it is a typical Statham movie". If you don't like Statham and his style of movie, why would you go and see it??? I don't like rom com so I wouldn't go and see a rom com movie and then give it 1 star. Sorry guys, you are obviously entitled to your opinions but your reviews don't hold up.

This was an entertaining and suspenseful film. Hugh Grant was superb in the role of a theologian with a sinister side. There was clever dialogue and thought provoking scenes where Grant managed to slip seamlessly between being an ingenuous homeowner to a sinister unhinged malcontent. The girls were suitably naive and fearful without overplaying it. It was definitely a film of 2 halves. Tension building in the first half and some " action" in the second half. All in all a great film. If I had one criticism, I would say the conclusion was a little weak and I think there could have been a more robust ending.

Well, I feel that I am at a disadvantage after so many glowing reviews, but the completely implausible, lengthy, rather tedious fight scene in the first half just about left me without the will to live. The inconsistencies and anomalies came thick and fast and I do like the main protagonist/ antagonist ( depending on how you classify John Wick) to at least have a modicum of charisma, unfortunately Keanu Reeves, seen by many others as strong and ruthless, to me just came across as completely uninspiring and the few lines he did have to say were very unconvincing as his delivery was so poor ! Sorry, but for me the film was just too "shoot 'em up, fight 'em up" without any clever plot. John Wick 1 was far superior. Having reflected on the film overnight I am dropping from 2 stars to 1 star. I appreciate that all "the 5 star fans" think the choreography was amazing and they note how brilliantly it was done, but the film is about entertaining the audience not indulging the directors and cast. It was boring, You go to be entertained not have a lesson in lengthy"ridiculous fight moves". The clincher for me was John Wick falling from a height in the night club and his back cracking on a huge piece of rail on the way down( which would certainly have broken his back!!!)to dropping even further onto a solid floor...and then getting up....absolutely ludicrous!

The atmosphere of Venice and the internal shots were captivating. However there was a bit of a mismatch of characters and Ariadne Oliver was so out of character. Kenneth Branagh perhaps needs to rename his films and not allude to Hercule Poirot or Agatha Christie. Unfortunately for Kenneth , David Suchet is a far superior representation of Hercule Poirot and far more credible. The film was fairly flat and would have been better adhering to the original story. Sorry Kenneth but know when not to mess with an original that is already excellent. If you read the 2 star review by Robb Del Casale, it will give you an exact portrayal of the film.
