Prepare for a longer movie, see it where you have a reclining seat in the theater. You won’t want a bathroom break so not to miss any details.
This is an epic movie which transports you to a time and place unknown to many and lesser known horrific history of the Osage. Scorsese entwines romance, betrayal, deception, murder, greed, racism, and history to tell this story. The length of the movie emphasizes the horrific duration of murders of the Osage that were never investigated until the US government stepped in.
Scorsese wraps up his movie in a unique format, unknown from the opening scene.
There is much more to discuss, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
Go see it, it’s worth it.
