Multi layered themes- different personalities, American patriotism, famous names, moral dilemmas, jealousy and revenge, clash of science and politics, communism witch-hunt, perverted justice, loyalty and unfaithfulness, fact and fiction, history and drama. All woven together so that the day after seeing the first showing the sheer brilliant complexity of the shattering story and dramatic climax is still unfolding in my head. Food for thought indeed, heartbreaking true story made all the more profound by the crowds of kids dressed in pink waiting in the cinema foyer to see the film of a plastic Barbie doll.
