This small scale film is a gem particularly from a first time director and actor. Although it could have been a grim Kenneth Loach type of movie it was packed full of energy and laugh out loud moments. When it comes to the awards season this could be a sleeper

I think it an absolute masterpiece. Dare I compare it with Brief Encounter. A beautiful film that I have seen twice already and yes al contender for an Oscar (or two).
