Darryn Hellofs

9½ out of 10 stars. I really, really enjoyed the listen. I'm a big fan of Concrete Blonde, but an even bigger fan of James Mankey. Greatest compliment I can give him is that he's spot-on with the simple economy of guitar playing. Less is more, and it speaks volumes. Texture, accent and shades are just as important, if not moreso, than a 1,000 notes per minute. The voice he talks through with his guitar playing is that of an interesting and observant conversationalist. I hope he reads this and appreciates the compliment.
