I absolutely loved it! I thought everything from the casting to the story telling and scenery was amazing. The casting is very impressive. The special effects are very well done. I don’t feel like you see that many fantasy or magical K dramas so that might be another reason why I really liked it. I think it’s wrong that many are trying to give it a lower rating without watching it just because it uses some names for its characters from ancient text. It’s fiction and tells an old story from a different perspective. I didn’t find it offensive or making fun of other religions. The only thing it did was use the same names and tell the story from the genie’s perspective. Reading some of the reviews it reminds me of how some people objected to Harry Potter or The Golden Compass. It’s not that serious or deep of a drama. It’s meant to be fun but if you don’t agree with it that is okay just don’t watch it. I liked it well enough I will go back and watch it again.
