The story begins as a mystery- the first few chapters sets you in the mood to keep going.
It builds on the suspense so strongly that it was hard to put down.
The plots are simply exhilarating. The author has done such a fab job with this work. So many aspects of life compiled in just a handful of chapters with such intensity.
The city of Mumbai, and the Monsoons. It's catchy.
There are so many things that have added to the beauty of the book: corruption, prostitution, greed, ideal Indian parents, romance, homophobia, caste based discrimination. The author has penned down each of it with great precision so as to keep the story moving at a steady pace.
And what caught my interest was the married gay couple with 3 adopted kids well accepted in the Indian family. Whoa! That's a big step.
The practice of homophobia is well shown in the story and the emotional dilemmas the characters are put through.
Overall it's a subtle nice book to enjoy your evening with.
I hoped to see much better communication happen through much better dialogues.
Overall, a fab work. Different. Good.
