The early days , the settlement of the west. They were at the least depressing. This show depicts the harsh realities of the struggle for life and the historical events of the time . However dramatically portrayed, the time line of this series doesn’t actually delve into how tragic and heartless, selfish, this time period actually was. I mean it’s for television . How many settlers went west only to die? How many native Americans were slain? History will never tell. This show is great but it’s only fictional so.. the real story of the west is far more brutal and especially ,the natives still suffer the painful truths of this chapter of American history… btw 5 stars keep it going!
