I really wanted to like this movie. The first 1/4 of the movie felt like it was going in the right direction and then suddenly it fell into the abyss. It was as if the entire writting staff was fired and replaced with drunk fools from the local saloon and asked to develop a plot line for a zombie flick. At a certain point it really felt like it was making fun of itself in a sad and pathetic way. Almost as a cry for help for someone else to take over. I am completely confused and befuddled how a production studio could take such a celebrated IP and allow something like this to escape into the world.
