I honestly prefer the original series over the reboot, and I was even hyped for it back when it was called TMSB 360. 7th grade me liked the designs and Jyoti's addition but now, in college, I'm starting to drift towards the 90s. Despite all the whitewashing and the bad Flash, the reboot does have its quotable lines and funny moments, mostly from Fiona Frizzle. Though there's a reason for the 4 stars: The third season is spectacular. Even though it's got only 4 episodes (Kids in Space, The Frizz Connection, In the Zone, and, if you know where to look, Goldstealer) it's better than the previous two seasons because they changed the animation to CGI, darkened Keesha and Tim, and tweaked some of the character designs a bit so they don't have the same faces and torsos. And also the writing is better and up to par with the 90s. It's kinda like the "Hillenburg renaissance" of SpongeBob's 9th season that made it great. If you're going to watch The Magic School Bus Rides Again, stick to Season 3 only.
