I read the book by Min Jin Lee several years back and just watched first 3 episodes. While it is somewhat different from how the story progresses , it is still within the boundary of original texts. Brilliant screenwriting, casting and cinematography. I bet some Japanese viewers won’t like historic undercurrent but sometimes truth hurts! I like this film much more than Minari or Parasite to be honest!!
