It's time for Death in Paradise to die. I'm sorry to say this because I've enjoyed this programme from the start, but recently it's getting a bit rubbish. Like everyone else in the UK, we love to watch this in the cold winter months for a hit of tropical island sunshine, which is why it is religiously scheduled for Jan-Feb every year, but this is no longer enough to paper over the cracks. The whodunnit storylines are still good, but the acting is getting weak. With Darlene delivering lines like a breathy Marylin Monroe as a constant reminder that she was hired as the office help by Selwyn in the episode where he seemed to be very charmed by her, to this week's episode when Neville floated about for most of it in a daze and then had a laughable, completely out of character, over exaggerated meltdown on thinking that his new arch nemesis in the form of Jake was going to get away with murder, is enough to probably make this the last series I watch.
