I finally finished. Bottom line, it’s slightly disappointing. Having started with Origins and played through Inquisition, it doesn’t feel like a Dragon Age game. It’s like some other company bought the rights, used the characters and created a new game. Disappointed in that. There are good aspects of the game, like combat, basic storyline, and companion quests; unfortunately, the dialogue is terrible, the characters are “meh,” and the companion quests were nearly impossible to miss. It would be difficult to mess up any companion relationship (if it’s even possible) because the steps are fed to you. It feels like Hogwarts and GoW mixed together, but it is not the Dragon Age we’ve all come to know and love. The dialogue options are almost always “positive” and nothing truly negative or snarky is said by Rook. It seems there isn’t a “bad guy” option in this game. Overall, it is a decent game, but I was expecting something closer to previous games.
