Before anyone comes after me for giving 3.5☆/4☆ I'm a big ol' balls to the wall Postie fan. I love every album of his, his lyrics, his personal vibe & his performance vibes. Not to mention his gravelly voice thats got me carrying a wet floor sign everywhere cos, if I'm out & about in public & my spotify shuffles and plays any of his songs, I WILL be needing a wet floor sign. I do also carry a bucket and a mop for this WAP, as advised by the queen of The-Dangley-Thing-That-Swing-At-the-Back-of-the-Throat before someone slips on it & tries suing me.
Got every song on Spotify & iTunes, every physical CD/album & the matching records all unopened. I also was lucky enough to afford to have seen him live in the UK last year and loved every second of it.
HAVING SAID THAT I was a lil disappointed with this album. Its got a lot of 80's 90's tones to it. Id say he's a very versatile musician; Hip-Hop and rap to pop and Country. Sounds good on most track types, but not this one. Not bad but not great. I've only listened to the full album back to back about 3 times & it's starting to grow on me. I'm hoping if I listen more ill fall in love with the album.
Beerbongs and Bentleys, STONEY, 24k & Hollywood's Bleeding are real difficult to follow up tho.....
