I honestly loved this book dearly after reading it. I think that Elizabeth Lim is a great writer, she is a really good storyteller, all the details and the way they were expressed, it made me imagine the story, feel like i was a part of it. I became connected to the characters as the story went, and that’s very impressive. I actually cried because of Khramelan (Hokzuh) almost killed Shiori. Though my favorite one is Her Radiant Curse, it’s a wonderful book. I recommend reading it before you read Six Crimson Cranes (1st book) and The Dragon’s Promise, because then it’s a pleasant surprise finding out those favorable sisters are in another of your favorite books. In general love the book. I actualky stayed up all night reading it to finish on New Year Eve
