I read this book in 2 days, and let me tell you, this is by far the most tragic and heartbreaking book in the hunger games trilogy. You learn a lot more about Haymitch, but not only him, other characters as well, Katniss’s mom and dad, Effie, more about Mags, Wiress, Beetee, and a lot more. It expands your understanding on why these characters are how they were in the original books. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who is a fan or familiar of the trilogy. You will need time to process what you have read, i’m talking 2-5 business days cause this book throws a lot at you. I read this book really fast but i would recommend to read it slow and take time to process. Also get tissues and a friend to read this book with you cause trust me you’re gonna need both.
