I read this book for my book club,. Utherwise I would not have finished it. Is it actually supposed to be real or a fairy tale? A child alone in below zero weather ??? A couple that love her and let her do that? This in itself is stupid then on top of it they are starving and when the man finds a dead frozen rabbit he throws it away and invites neighbors to dinner ?? They have no food remember! the woman complains of the dark winter then a few days later is awoken in the morning to sunshine? The ending is absurd does she have a baby then melt away? This book is an insult to an intelligent person.
