It's sad to learn that this show got low viewership ratings because it's good. The storyline and characters develop well and I didn't notice loose ends; there was closure for the sub-plots.
It's a slow-burn romance but the general theme is that we should never take other people's feelings for granted. Some people always say they are fine but they might just not show how much they are really hurt. There is just so much one can take. But we should not allow ourselves to be a doormat for others because we also need to take care of and love ourselves.
This applies not only to the main leads but to the many other relationships shown - friends, siblings, parent/child, even co-workers. Good acting by the cast.
