I can understand why some people were frustrated at the end if you want to know exactly what happens to the characters, however this film did explain the โwhyโ of what was going on, which I found extremely interesting and disturbing. I found Mahersala Aliโs acting impeccable, I truly believed his character and found his rationale unwise like his daughter. I found Julia Roberts take on a โKarenโ very interesting, it implied ignorant racism but also humanised her through her family and why she hated her job role. I got a little lost on Ruthโs character and Amandaโs son but loved some one liners especially about friends, โmakes you nostalgic for a time that didnโt exist.โ The thing about this movie is I canโt stop thinking about it! So yes it left me hanging with the characters but it did drip feed me the probably ending. Reading some of these reviews makes me very annoyed at myself that Iโve not watched some movies rated under 8 on IMDB if bots and copy and pasters can impact a rating, because the hate received is not in proportional to the movie at all, to the makers and producers, you smashed it, well done, itโs opened my mind to the possibility of how vulnerable we all are (and what movies, box set and books Iโd be taking underground with me)
