I really wanted to like this show, since it is similar to other shows that I do like. One thing that I love about it are the specialists. I love the words of advice that they provide each couple and the activities they plan.
What I truly dislike about it is after watching season 13, everything feels too fake for me. People being thrown together, just because. If it were more genuine then I would like it more.
Someone also mentioned a red flag when it comes to individual behavior and how if Micheala was a male and Zack was a female, they wouldn't have allowed that behavior and I agree. Any form of over-the-top behavior from anyone should promptly be addressed.
Someone also mentioned that looks should matter and I agree with that as well! I am not sure how they would be able to determine if a person would be attracted to someone prior to them seeing them, but yes, that so-called surface-based thought of "am I physically attracted to this person" does make a difference in anyone's romantic relationship and people shouldn't be made to feel bad for that.
I know that the primary goal for the show is for ratings and money around the concept, but I think you all can achieve that goal even if things were more realistic, especially with who you are pairing together.
It has been a totally mentally draining experience and now I have to not binge any shows for a while after binging this. lol
P.S. For those of you saying that the show needs new experts, please note that there is a boss above them that gives the final orders I am sure. More than likely the BOSS wants ratings and drama and thus if the experts want their jobs on the show, must show up and comply.
