Very difficult to watch this show. The effects are like filming a show supposedly set in a tropical rain forest but filming it in the California redwoods- yes that stupid.
So many technical issues are crazy. Started with the commander taking a solo hike on moon by herself the day before the big flight like it was no big deal, then taking off her perfectly white non-dusted spacesuit after the walk to a rocket flight that is spewing orange flames like on earth, and venting gasses from a space ship on the moon to a solar panel array that is stuck half-open and a big drama about how many EVA's everyone has done (when the show started with an EVA solo space hike!) then the scary space walk to fix the solar panel, stupidly reaching thru the stuck open gap in the panel array (no concern if it suddenly opened and crushed her hand right off) to taking a hammer and pounding on a 1/4" diameter cable (which is way too big of diameter of a cable), to an unleashed space walk...
The whole show is fake and unrealistic. And, NASA would never allow solo space hikes, a hammer to be used to bang on a critical cable to crewing a ship with people that have so much discord and poor teamwork. The side bar stories are filler or maybe they are the real show. If you're looking for a real deal watch the Danny Boyle classic "Sunshine" which is a reasonable attempt at space effects that are believable.
