I do wanted to love this movie. Love Costner. Westerns, I know this is a passion project for him and I‘m starved for a good western. What can I say? Great cinematography, great score, good costumes and actors …. But what an unintelligible tangle of story lines and time lines. You never care about a single character because there is no character development. I never figured out if the young kid with the scalpers was young Costner. This movie needs serious treatment on the cuttingroom floor. What a shame.
