Worse than you could imagine. Forget about the lore, it's just horrible, cheap, uninspired, unemotional, lazy, convenient writing. Seriously just aggravating at every turn. If you can call them turns, because thru 7/8 episodes nothing, NOTHING has happened, except Mount Doom erupting. Who cares? How did every main character survive? How did Bronwynn survive who was just shot by two arrows? How is Bronwynn leading this little village collective out of nowhere when no one liked her to begin with? How did Bronwynn know where to go to help Arondir save Theo from the Orcs in the forest? How did Arondir find Theo in the forest in the first place? How did Numenor arrive to save the villages in the Southlands JUST in time, and how did THEY know exactly where to go? How did Halbrand, who was coming from the SAME EXACT direction as Galadriel and Adar, appear from the complete opposite direction to take out Adar's horse? This "huge" battle of the Southlands had about 60 people, where's that 1 billion dollars? These are all the tip of the iceberg, off the top of my head, and ALL of the PILES of lore inaccuracies aside. Not to mention, the vast majority of the characters are just unlikeable, or stupid, or both. I was happy when the white robes lit the Harfoot's garbage on fire, is that what y'all were going for? It's all just BBBAAAAAD bad. like, bad. How did these writers EVER get this job!? It's completely, absolutely insane and kind of insulting to anyone who likes Tolkien, let alone Tolkien himself, or just people who like good or at least decent stories. The most colossal screw up I have ever seen, without a singular doubt
