This show does a good job of being a light-hearted comedy to put on after a long day at work. However, it was difficult for me to finish when I got to later seasons as some of the characters were unrelatable and hard to empathise with. For example, Mateo’s character didn’t have any redeeming qualities and there were episodes he was straight up mean. And then they had us try to feel sorry for him when he was being deported, but I found it hard to care. This occurred with other characters as well and is the reason I stopped watching. Other shows do a better job of having characters with quarks and unlikeable qualities but redeeming them with good qualities; such as Brooklyn 99 or The Office. Anyhow most people seem to like Superstore and I understand that but I personally wouldn’t recommend it.
