A confused hot mess that wants to be all the genres. A bait and switch half quirky, half "one of our neighbors is a psychopath serial killer." A ton of plot holes because the writers don't actually care about HOW anything happens. Certainly not boring though.

What the heck did I just watch? Whereas in the pseudo prequel "Whisper of the Heart" nothing happens, in this movie everything happens, for no reason, nonstop, and then it stops. If you mash up a bunch of different Disney movies and some potent psychedelics, out pops this movie. Normally I'm a sucker for "girl turns into a cat while hanging out with Cary Elwes". But the plot is terrible, the art is subpar, the character development non-existent, and unfortunately I think Anne Hathaway was miscast.

It's a nice wholesome story about two adolescents but don't let the movie poster give you any ideas about what the movie is about. It's false advertising. Very false. Nothing much happens in this movie, which isn't necessarily a bad thing at all. It's more like a prologue and then the movie is over.

One of the weaker Korean shows I've watched. Some really good elements, but suffers from a lack of explanation of what is going on. A lot of subplots that start out interesting and then fizzle (half baked). And just to nitpick for a moment, way too many scenes that start out during daylight and immediately shift to nighttime. Does it take 5 hours to drive everywhere in Seoul?? In conclusion, if you're looking for a show that will both make you cry a lot and leave you confused, this is the one. Bit of a hot mess overall.
