"Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas," much like John Oliver's "Last Week Tonight," performs deep dives into different socio-economic areas of the United States. Unlike "Last Week Tonight," the deep-dives are season-long, where each episode targets a different facet of the same socio-economic problems.
The first season focuses on effective policing (and lack thereof), and the second season focuses on effective education (and lack thereof). Both seasons show how our policing and education systems contribute to economic inequality in the United States.
Wyatt Cenac sprinkles in a lot of comedic humor to ease the tension of the material. I greatly recommend the show.
