Not as good as the original. Film is disjointed and unfocused. Basically a story about a white woman trying to run away from her past, and hiding out in India trying to live a selfless life in penance for her selfish ways. Ultimately, she is faced with the realization that her own needs pale in the face of the larger picture, symbolized in her desire to bring the young Indian boy to America with her, but coming to understand that she needed him more than he needed her.
