Watched the 60 year old 4+ hour movie recently and was surprised how great it was. Elizabeth Taylor held the movie together although Rex Harrison commanded the earlier scenes. Unfortunately the music was low key and didn't hold up to the spectacle. Surprisingly a number of reviewers didn't seem to know that the Ptolemys were Greek and not African.
