I really don’t understand how anyone can enjoy this at all. None of the characters are likeable and totally frustrating, their actions and goals constantly contradict each other, which yes you can say this makes them more human/theyre kids etc, but be fr what part of that is enjoyable at all. Conflict can be entertaining but the writers don’t achieve this at all. The show starts off with the worst personalities so at the start you do not care about the characters so how am I meant to be invested in the story, it just makes character deaths superficial and more of a shock factor, especially as nothing really comes from it. The biggest gripe is the main character’s self-righteousness, her actions causes so much harm yet no one holds her accountable and she doesn’t change/develop, writers treat her like a princess who can do no harm, its actually jarring. None of the characters feel like actual humans, Clark literally is a Mary Sue, the characters act more like a plot device in the most shallow way and the extras act too much like extras, they do not act in a way like an actual group of people/mob would, only for plot convenience. I would give 0 stars if I could and I have no idea why this show has any success, especially one with so many seasons. Superficial show that feels like it was made for people who want to feel introspective/smart for dipping their toes in what can barely be called a “dark dystopian”. William Goulding would roll in his grave for a such a failure of depicting a self-made society of kids, I mean they literally had the blue prints and made nothing, this is a nothing show.
