Just saw the first three episodes today, and I must say, this show does have a very addictive quality to it because I'm already halfway done with the first season!
This show is (understandably) not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like crude, Family Guy-type humor with a Canadian twang, then this is the show for you. It's acted well enough to the point where sometimes you forget that this is a "mockumentary".
It feels like you're watching a home movie that everyone in the neighborhood took part in, which gives it such a refreshing feel compared to the other local sitcoms that had bigger budgets, and there are some genuine heartfelt moments throughout the show that prevents it from completely becoming an asinine, raunch-fest.
Overall, I believe what makes Trailer Park Boys such a good show and the cult that it became here in Canada is that it had much more soul compared to other "adult" sitcoms at the time and hell, even today.
