The low ratings Death to 2020 has on Rotten Tomatoes (currently 29%) is a great example of how the enlightened guild of film critics are more concerned with putting a feather in their cap or not exposing themselves as having a taste, which could be perceived as too plain. By trashing a perfectly decent piece they are not helping the consuming middle class among us to find a perfectly enjoyable production. It seems like they mainly work for their reputation in their own illustrious club of film snobs.
