Three things you can expect in every Flanagan series: 1. Christianity painted in a negative light, 2. Gay love, 3. Major plot holes
Spoiler alert
For the plot holes- who the heck were the old people some of them would see? Why did Ivonka and other guy keep shifting through time? Who or what was the shadow creature seen by many? Why was the headmaster not willing to heal others if she was a paragon member?
How is this the same dude that wrote “Haunting of Hillhouse”? That was a masterpiece. This garbage is seriously like the author was under a deadline so instead of creating a true legendary work of art like he’s capable of, he throws together a bunch of teens telling different ghost stories that have little to no bearing on their reality. The message of the film was “Cancer sucks and no one can change it so enjoy your life”. It’s quite admirable but doesn’t make for great horror suspense material.
Please give this man more time to develop his story like we all know he can.
