Although it is a great film but I hope I'm not mistaken of thinking that at the end, it sounded like it was Mr. Perlman all along. He baited Oliver to his son (Elio) allowing them to have an intimate relationship so he can fulfill his bothering desire that didn't happen previously in his early life, which he regrets that he held himself back from doing what he really wants in his youth, so he kind of passed the character to his son. How awful! And it got more messed up when Oliver told Elio how lucky he is as if it was all good. I was like What The actual F? The boy is very confused and left hanging in the air. 🥺ðŸ˜
