It’s a great advert for Ireland but not exactly real. It rains practically all the time in Ireland. The acting was mediocre, the premise was Mills and Boon standard but if you have no requirements for quality or thought provoking acting, then this is the movie for you.

Slow moving but beautifully acted with the scenery being a character of its own. Great music and language.

Unbelievable plot with many unreal reactions from the players. Reinforced my contempt for the justice system in the USA. They gave away the real killer much too early and the episodes I did watch caused me to feel as if I gorged on Maccas. It was phoney all the way through. In the end I no longer cared who killed Ben.

I thought Hunger was brilliantly done. Chef Paul was typical of a lot of Chefs, never pleased, throwing things at his staff. The female chef was emblematic of many driven people and suitably stoic. There were no embarrassing and gratuitous love scenes. The over the top extravagance was suitably disgusting and the message was clear and simple.
