Perhaps Iโm biased.
Iโve been an extremely die-hard loyal fan of Terrifier since 2018 when he was still super underground. He instantly became my favorite slasher of all time. Which is weird to say after just one $35k indie movie that nobody knew about.
But with Damien Leoneโs mind, vision, and creative geniusโฆ and David Howard Thorntonโs understanding and physicalityโฆ
The early 1980โs grindhouse atmosphereโฆ
It all just resonated with me immediately.
Been so proud of following their journey and seeing all of which theyโve accomplished and achieved.
I have to say this might be my favorite installment thus far. I donโt think the gore nor the controversy was nearly as โbadโ (gruesome) as many people are sayingโฆ In fact, the โyellow-room sceneโ affected me more than this films โshower sceneโ.
However, thatโs not to say the kills arenโt extremely exciting, creative, or original. They definitely are.
And the makeup/practical effects are jaw-droppingโฆ *wink wink*
Once again, Damien creates such a captivating atmosphere in which Christmas compliments perfectly.
Itโs by far the funniest of the three, so if you enjoy Terrifier for Artโs quirky antics, then youโll definitely be very pleased with this one.
But as funny as it is, they also went back to their roots of the first one in terms of knowing when to be serious. And this new installment is definitely much darker than the previous two.
And letโs give it up for Lauren LaVeraโฆ
A f#%king POWERHOUSE of an actress.
Her acting impressed me a great deal in โT2โ, and she delivers an even stronger performance in this one.
