I just finished reading the book in 2 days because I was so immersed in it wishing so badly they had turned this into a movie even though I felt I already watched it in my head. When I found out they did make it into a movie while at work I rented it as soon as I got home and to my dissapontment it was not good at all in my opinion. They changed so much of the novel from chosing actors who dont look like the characters, changing their ages, his profession, taking out main characters...I mean the list goes on. I want expecting an exact copy of the novel. But what I hoping the love story and passion would at least be there. But they took that out of the movie with all the changes. The acting was not good, no chemistry, and the love story was lost. All the realness, warmth and passion was gone for me. The movie just felt like a rushed, cheesy unrealistic love story. I was just very dissapointed. I have loved every movie made based off of Nicholas Sparks novels so far. This was my first let down. So bumbed. I truly hope someone remakes this movie and tries to keep the magic, chemistry, tenderness, romance and realness from the novel and are able to bring it to life. Those who loved the movie I HIGHLY recommend you read the book. Youll love it.
