This show is utterly phenomenal, and deserves a SOLID 5-stars in reviews.
For one, fictional awesomeness aside, this show is more realistic than others, lots of people are bi, gay, etc, including a large number of kids, and the ratio of shows that don't point that out to the ones that do is awfully unrealistic in comparison to real life. It's a good thing that this show is being realistic and showing that kids get those feelings, and that that's okay.
Secondly, the characters and plot are incredible, Luz doesn't quite fit in and can't do magic normally, but they overcome those obstacles and optimistically persist through many normal teenage troubles and supernatural perplexing perils. There is not a single character in this show that I don't like (the pink-haired bully is alright too), and I am not sure if I have EVER shipped two characters more than Luz and Amity :D
On top of that, Eda's curse really adds a sense of impending peril that the other main protagonists will probably have to overcome in a season finale at some point.
I could go on and on about the extraordinary humor, plot, characters, romance, themes, animation, etc, but this review has already become a rant (I have no regrets) so I will leave it off here.
