Didn't expect to read poor reviews here. I thought this was excellent Rarely I can get my husband to watch TV with me, but he enjoyed it too. Jude Law has great screen presence and Jason Bateman and he, great chemistry in their relationship. If I were to be critical, it got a little slow in the mid section of episodes. But when the second from last episode PUNCH came, it was a roller coaster of energy, and couldn't take eyes off the action unfolding. Overall - a great series.

Sadly agree with the negative reviews Overhyped. Plot complex but not in a good way. Too many random names to follow, and story lines that were hard to care about. Lead character felt like the stereotypical grumpy, troubled cop. Dialogue was over-done and contrived. Kelly Macdonald normally quite good, ina weird flirty/counselor role that just felt highly implausible. The main cops, sidekick had some amusing scenes. But felt a little racist at times - as people 'looked down' on the Syrian and suprised by his skill. Lots of shouting and stomping about by main characters. And felt somewhat ridiculous that a police team would be relegated to a basement with urinals that hadn't even been cleaned. This would never happen. Trying to be dark and edgy but ended up dull and far too many episodes I pushed through to the end, but annoyingly feel asleep during the last episode so never found out how the over complex plot ended!!
