A fun slice of life kdrama with male friends bonding, engaging family, and an amazing couple. Park Bo Gum really shines, and the whole cast is very strong. I love how he sticks to his values despite the hardships he faces. It gave me a real insight into the world of modeling and acting that I didn’t know and made me think hard about avoiding negative celebrity gossip.
I watched it 4 times now when I want a light hearted kdrama and really enjoyed it each time. It just celebrated its 5 year anniversary this week.
Spoiler: The ending is unique for a rom com but she needs to grow in her own professional success and personal emotional growth before committing to a high profile longterm relationship, and he is good at break up and forgiveness in longterm relationships. It allowed them both to mature into their 30s. Hence a record of their youth.
Reply 1988 is also excellent slice of life kdrama but more of a commitment to track all the characters. Encounter is a great PBG rom com but not easy to find now.
