Please fix your refereeing, it is embarrassingly bad. AI-controlled defence is already so ridiculously overpowered with their tackling precision yet every AI player will receive a warning individually after performing disgusting slide tackles with no contact on the ball. Rarely if ever do AI players get booked on their first foul of the match (players don't need to be booked for everything but always allowing every AI player the chance to perform a dirty tackle before facing any consequence is just baffling and stupid). These players will all also be warned separately, even if other players on their team had already been warned. This really only serves to dumbfound, or worse, aggravate the user when they are booked for minor physical contact with opposition players or, worse still, booked for physical actions performed BY THE OPPOSITION because of the pathetic collision detection (I have been in possession of the ball and had AI players foul me only to see my player booked). This aspect of play (especially common in Master League because opposition is always AI-controlled) should be severely tweaked or have some kind of option whereby the player can adjust the frequencies of bookings for player- and AI-controlled teams. As a player, it ends up feeling like the entire game is against you, with referees turning a blind eye to repeated bookable offences while rushing over to pull a card whenever the player happens to jostle for possession. Unless your idea of immersion is an unapologetically biased referee, this should really be addressed.
There are bits of the game which I find excellent and a clear step above FIFA (while also falling short in certain presentational elements), which do well to highlight the tactical aspects of the beautiful game. I love the more grounded nature of gameplay, but feel like the biggest letdown which keeps this game from being the most satisfying football sim I've ever played is the refereeing, as mentioned. Please fix this issue as having these shockingly bad ref calls happen so often (as will likely happen when playing ML) it can easily turn a great gaming experience sour very quickly.
I can't imagine this review will actually ever be read or have some kind of impact on how these games get made in the future (or hopefully get fixed now) but I can only imagine other avid ML players would love to have this specific change implemented. Good luck improving your game.
