Reading the book is a lot like the journey the main character makes.
Spoiler alert
You follow a depressed man named Alex grieving for his dead wife as he goes on an expedition to an artificial hole on an undiscovered planet. Its a long, hard and boring journey, its the same arguments and conversations over and over again, its him pining about his dead wife over and over again, and at the end of it all, when he reaches the destination, which will make it all worth it he finds out that there is nothing to see or find out except , well a hole..
The only thing is he decides he wants to live because this other guy will die if Alex doesnt help him get back. And his depression is cured.
I felt exaclty like Alex reading the book, long hard read, boring repetition, all for nothing, rather depressing.
A couple of good moments but not enough, feels like a waste of time.
