Great story. Paul Yoon’s ‘Snow Hunters’ touches on a wide range of important themes, (migration, PTSD, memory, loneliness, etc.) but it is the quiet interpersonal relationships between a fascinating cast of characters that make this book so wonderful. Vibrant descriptions of Brazil and Korea anchor the story in a concrete sense of place. Full of beautiful visual imagery and a very authentic human-ness that is both heartbreaking and hopeful, this is a book I think everyone should read.
