This is an enjoyable generational family biography starting with the generation of those who were parents to our WWI veterans. The author, Arlene Curns, has a remarkable memory for detail and is a good story teller. I was most impressed with her careful addition of historical detail which she kept brief but also made interesting. The book, Homemade Noodles & Cars," will likely be of most widespread interest to those who have an interest in the city of Flint, Michigan. This is a story of Flint's heyday when downtown shopping was the highlight of the week and McDonald's first made it possible for families of six to be able to eat out.
