I’m a FAN okay! I’m going to give it another read, but the book seemed overly political in nature. As a result, I feel really took away from the storyline to me.
I bought the book when it first came out and was gifted the book as well 🤣. I have two copies and I’ve enjoyed reading the book overall, but the C19 references brought up some unresolved trauma… I feel it was a good period piece in that respect. It memoralizes the tragedy.
That aside, it was wonderful to better understand Holly and really dig into who she is. The layers to the plot and minute links to the climax was enjoyable.
Overall, I recommend it, but not if you’re too politically polarized to see past his politics. That’s the missing star… it’s not a read for ALL his fans just those that share his views or are neutral to politics, like myself.
