Among other things - all of which have been excellently described by other reviewers, and in some cases, in a memorably witty manner - this 'shit-show' of a show, presents a simple-minded, hackneyed, predictable, and divisive narrative against 'evil big pharma.' People suffering brain-damage from antidepressants? Puh-lease! At most, such drugs are no better than placebo. If the show aspired to a modicum of realism, it would have focused on the most common cause of depression, anxiety, and self-harm, namely: humans treating other humans in predictably shitty ways. Or how about such carcinogenic drugs as good ole alcohol? Right up there with asbestos, cigarettes, and Agent Orange. But no. The writers/producers apparently felt beholden to the anti- pharmaceutical zeitgeist of whenever this crap was made. A tour-de-force of predictability and cliche. A puerile, awkwardly self-aware, and dreadfully disappointing turd of a series.
