I really enjoyed Owen Wilson’s performance and the production values are top-notch, but the show’s attempts to tackle sexism feel forced and distracting. The “strong women” characters too often accuse their male counterparts of bias over relatively minor misunderstandings, which comes across as awkward rather than insightful. A scene in which a woman visiting a bank to invest in helium is labeled “sexist” after a straightforward warning feels especially contrived. Likewise, the inclusion of caricatured “white guy” antagonists only highlights how heavy-handed the writing can be. It’s a shame, because a tighter focus on the golf storyline would have made for a more engaging, cohesive series. And it only gets worse as it goes along as the story adds more angry self righteous female characters than golf related characters and they convince the young golf star that the man who has nothing and gave up 100k to bring him on tour is the real villain in this story. Its wild.

Unfortunately, nothing here surprised me. Lady says "We need to stop being nice about things". While handing him books about how we need to be nicer to everyone because we're white. Just struck me as ironic. Because if people werent nice, if we didnt entertain this nonsense, it wouldnt exist at all so clearly, theyre living in the nicest, most free country in the world. They wouldnt tolerate shaming the majority because of their skin color in most other countries.

My goodness, this movie stinks. It could have been a great sci-fi thriller where a girl was stuck in a time loop trying to save her sister's life but instead it's a drama about an lgbtq couple with a killer in the background. Nothing in this plot makes sense. The characters are not likeable in any way. And I could forgive the plot if it was in any way exciting or entertaining but 30 minutes in and we ended up checking to see how much was left.

I wanna love it but unfortunately, the mother makes it borderline intolerable.

This should have been a great game but is completely ruined by the constant and relentless police pursuit that you are habitually stuck in. You zoom to 5 heat before you know it and then driving anywhere is unfortunately impossible. Switching cars does nothing which is absurd, if youre going to get to 5 heat that quickly then heat should be car specific. I once counted 8 different helicopters on the map after I already escaped the police and was just trying to get to my safe house. Who are they chasing? A street racer or a terrorist? This game could have been INCREDIBLE if they toned this police chases down about 50%. I dont want to spend 90% of my time avoiding the police, thats so dumb. I just wanna race but even if I race, you manufacture police chases after the fact. Dont stop me after the race and put a cop behind me. Jesus, I deal with the police enough. Let the chases be natural. Even their placement isnt natural, its like they know where Im headed and where Im at. Ive seen them just spawn on me in the middle of nowhere when I came out of hiding after I had already evaded them. And my goodness with the dramatic car crash cut scenes. Guys Im driving crazy fast and in a police chase every 30 seconds, Im going to hit things and it doesnt need to be a 10 flip cut scene every time. This games a miss and it shouldnt have been. Whoever let this get out the door with these police chases should be fired. I have it on relaxed mode and honestly, Ive been anything but. Youre just constantly driving for your life and for NOTHING. You waste so much time evading the police just to keep what you have an its so incredibly unrealistic to have this many police involved over street racing. Like they kidnapped the president or something. Awful waste of time. I got it through EA power pass or whatever and 15 bucks was too much to spend for it. Its unplayable.

This game sucks. Flat out, its done lazily. You spend all that time making a created character and cant transfer the look or moveset into myrise? My GM could be good with more options, a bigger draft, more money, more match types, stables, more weekly matches but it falls flat and feels empty and pointless. Played through My Rise or whatever and its the worst part so far. All of the stories are awful and short. They dont build on each other. Youre basically playing a bunch of meaningless short stories that have nothing to do with one another. I dont believe any of the good reviews because this is as disappointing as it gets
