I was more interested in the GG disappearance than the blatant overdone sex, stupidity in not involving authorities in obvious crimes and the romanticism of rape and stalking. This book is smutty, not romantic. Im 5 hours in on audible, 10 hours left, Im hoping it gets better. It jumps around without fully developing characters. Lots of unnecessary sex.

It missed the mark when comparing it to American Horror story or Lovecraft andother short series. The content was probably accurate regarding racial tensions and segregation. I think they could have played more into the spooky stuff like lovecraft, while still addressing the racial tension.
