Short version: I encourage everyone to give the show a go and make your own judgements based on the content of the series :) Whether it's good or bad is up to you!
Longer version: While I think that the show got off to a slower start in the first half of the series, it is a good show with an interesting take on the ultimate downfall of the Jedi (which was also explored in the Prequels and Clone Wars). It also has some of the best live action fight choreography we've seen for years and stellar acting from Manny Jacinto, Lee Jung-jae, and Dafne Keen.
It thoughtfully tries to incorporate nuances from legend to turn into canon (such as Vernestra and her whip light saber), and we don't know yet if The Stranger is truly a sith or not (What are you?" "I have no name, but Jedi like you might call me Sith..."). I'm enjoying the exploration of the "light" and "dark" side of the force and the fact that some mystery about the Jedi Order's order input into The Stranger's fall to the dark side is still there lurking. The story is definitely interesting, I look forward to the final episode. I would only say that 30 mins seems like too short a runtime for some of the episodes, which could do with a bit more breathing room.
Is there a cover-up afoot that leads the Jedi to believe that no Sith (if he is even a Sith) has been seen in 1000 years? Only time will tell at this point, so the vitriol for this portion of the story makes no sense to me at the moment — we need to see the final episode first. I am disappointed with some of the toxic vitriol towards this show, of which much seems to stem from misogyny and "anti-wokeness" from what I can discern. I'm all for constructive critiques of the show, but the rest just honestly seems toxic, and is reminiscent of some of the toxicity we saw when the Prequels were released 20 years ago.
